GI Lakadong Turmeric Powder

Net wt. 200 g
7–9% curcumin — among the highest in the world. Earthy, deeply golden, irreplaceable in any modern kitchen.
→ The Story
Lakadong is a small valley in Meghalaya's Jaintia Hills. Its turmeric is what the rest of the world reaches for when it talks about "real" turmeric. Curcumin content here runs 7–9% — more than three times the global average — because the soil, altitude, and the patient three-week post-harvest curing all conspire in its favour. The GI tag came in 2024, but Khasi and Jaintia growers have been protecting this strain for centuries. Add a quarter-teaspoon to warm milk, and the kitchen will smell of mountains.
