A Jorhat tea garden at first light

About Kopahi

Rooted In Seven States.
Reaching For The World.

We are an AIBA Agri NE LLP brand. We work where the produce is grown, where the silk is woven, where the tea is rolled — and only there.

Milestones

A Short Road.
One Promise.

Kopahi is young. Our farmer relationships are older — and that is the order we intend to keep.

  1. 2023

    AIBA Agri NE LLP incorporated

Founded in Jorhat with a four-person team and a single mandate: protect the geography, pay the people, tell the truth on the label.

  2. 2024

    First farmer onboarded

Bireswar Hazarika of Karbi Anglong signs on for Keteki Joha — a relationship that becomes the template for every farmer agreement that follows.

  3. 2024

    First GI partnership

A formal sourcing partnership with the Lakadong Turmeric Cooperative makes Kopahi a verified supply chain for one of Northeast India's most prized GI rhizomes.

  4. 2025

    Processing facility commissioned

A small, modern processing line in Jorhat brings sorting, drying, packaging and quality testing in-house.

  5. 2025

    First export shipment

A consignment of Lakadong turmeric and Queen pineapple leaves for a curated retailer in Tokyo — Kopahi's first shipment beyond Indian shores.

  6. 2026

    Seven-state footprint

Kopahi's farmer network completes its planned footprint — at least one verified cooperative in every Northeast state.

Vision

A Northeast India whose heritage is known by name on the world's most considered shelves — and whose growers are paid as if it always was.

Mission

To source, process, brand and export the GI-certified produce and craft of seven states — under one accountable spine, and at the price the people who grew it deserve.

What We Hold

No Slogans.
Four Convictions.

Empowerment

Fair-price, long-horizon partnerships with grower and weaver cooperatives. Margins loop back into the soil they came from.

Authenticity

Only what the geography certifies. Only what the farmer signs off. Every claim is documented, never decorative.

Sustainability

Low-input agriculture, minimal-loss processing, and packaging built to be returned to the earth — not stored in it.

Traceability

Every SKU maps back to a name, a village, a season. We publish what we know — and admit what we don't yet.

Leadership

The Hands Behind
The Harvest.

Founder

Barsha Prakash Choudhury

Heritage isn't a marketing word. It's a contract with the people who grew this knowledge before us.

Barsha leads brand and partnerships, drawing on a decade in regional sourcing and consumer storytelling. Her aim: make Northeast craftsmanship legible globally — without flattening it.

Founder

Ashreeta Gogoi

Every leaf has a name. Every name has a face.

Ashreeta works on the ground with grower cooperatives across Assam, Meghalaya and Nagaland. She designs the farmer-first protocols that keep Kopahi traceable end-to-end.

Quality is not what we promise on a label — it's what we refuse to ship.

Trideep runs processing, logistics and export readiness. His obsession with the unglamorous middle of the value chain is what lets Kopahi stand behind every shipment.

We are not here to sell more. We are here to sell better.

Prakash leads B2B and international markets. He chooses partners the way a tea-taster chooses a flush — slowly, carefully, with a long memory.
