→ The Story

Karbi Anglong ginger has the kind of pungency that announces itself before the pod hits the pan. The rhizomes are smaller, the fibre count lower, and the essential oil content noticeably higher than commercial varieties — because the Karbi Hills are still cool enough, wet enough, and steep enough to keep the plant working harder than it would elsewhere. Our cooperative lead Pohor Phukan coordinates 38 growers across the hills and ensures every kilo ships the day it's pulled from the soil.
